In March 2020, Chris began serving in the role of Director of Support Services for the Greater New York Councils. Assuming the role during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Chris worked with staff and key board members to facilitate remote work, accessible support services, contingency plans for camp operations, virtual camp programs, and the development of the Shared Registration Services team.
Chris joined the Greater New York Councils on May 1, 2019 as the Director Outdoor Programs and Facilities for the Greater New York Councils, Boy Scouts of America where he was responsible for providing leadership and support to all camping operations. Chris previously served as the Director of Support Services for the Seneca Waterways Council in Rochester, New York where he was responsible for developing and promoting engaging program experiences for Scouts and families in Rochester and the Finger Lakes region. He provided oversight to the $1.9 million camping and program component of the operating budget as well as the capital budget. Working with Council Executive Board Vice Presidents and hundreds of volunteers, Chris oversaw three camping facilities; J. Warren Cutler Scout Reservation in Naples, NY; Camp Babcock-Hovey on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake in Ovid, NY; and Massawepie Scout Camps in the Adirondacks near Tupper Lake, NY, with ten full-time staff and 180 seasonal employees. In addition to camping programs, Chris also provided leadership to council training, advancement, activities, risk management, insurance, technology, United Way relationships, program delivery and support staff of the Seneca Waterways Council.
Previously, Chris served as Assistant Scout Executive for the Miami Valley Council in Dayton, Ohio, and Field Director, Senior District Executive and District Executive in the Connecticut Yankee Council in Milford, CT.
