Direct your donation to a specific district in the Greater New York Councils
Over 70% of Greater New York Councils Scouts receive some form of assistance to pay for camp. This is what is called a “Campership,” and now your donations can go directly to this important part of Scouting. Giving kids the opportunity to escape the city and get out into nature is an incredible gift, and while at camp Scouts learn teamwork, self-confidence, respect for the environment and helpfulness while building lasting friendships. Help send a child to camp today!
From time to time, opportunities present themselves to recognize a special Scout in your life. By sending a small donation to the Greater New York Council’s Tribute Fund, you can express your feelings to the entire New York City Scouting community. There are many occasions on which to honor a Scout. Whether it is achieving the rank of Eagle, the retirement of a cherished Scout leader, “get well” wishes to a sick friend, expression of condolences to a loved one’s family, personal highlights like a birthday, wedding/anniversary or career promotion, or just a “thank you” for a job well done, your gift honors a person in a meaningful way while helping the Greater New York Councils serve New York City youth.
The Council will send a card expressing your thoughts of congratulations, thanks, get well wishes, or condolences to the individual or family on your behalf. An acknowledgment of your gift will also be sent to you, and your contribution will be listed on the Council’s website.
